V-plow vs. straight blade — which should I buy?
A straight blade is simpler and lighter, and great for pushing wide, open areas. A V-plow adds V position to break through deep drifts and windrows and scoop position to carry snow without spilling off the ends — more versatile for driveways, lots and mixed routes. If you plow big lots, an expandable straight blade like the EXT is worth a look too.

What Boss plow fits my truck?
For half-ton pickups (F-150, Silverado 1500, Ram 1500), the HTX. For 3/4- and 1-ton pickups (Ram 2500/3500, F-250/F-350, Silverado and Sierra HD), the DXT, XT, TEV, Super-Duty and EXT. Medium-duty trucks step up to the Heavy-Duty or the 10' DXT, and skid steers and loaders use box plows.

Can you put a plow on any truck?
No. The truck's manufacturer has to approve it for plowing, and the front axle has to carry the plow's weight. Some trucks need a plow-prep or snowplow package from the factory. We check your exact truck before we quote anything.

Are all Boss plow mounts the same?
No. Every Boss truck plow uses an undercarriage built for your truck. Most full-size Boss plows share the RT3 mount, so one plow can move between RT3-equipped trucks; the HTX, Heavy-Duty and Drag Pro each have their own.
