About the Boss SR Scout

The SR Scout puts one operator where you used to need three or four people with shovels. At just 34 inches wide, it fits through standard doorways and down narrow sidewalks. Zero-turn radius means no three-point turns at the end of a walkway. 4WD gets traction on slopes and ice. The 4-foot hydraulic blade handles snow, and D-Force improves back-dragging performance. For property managers, school campuses, and hospital facilities across Maine, it's a game-changer.

At 34" wide, the SR Scout is the narrowest of Boss's sidewalk vehicles — useful for tight downtown sidewalks and walkways.

What attachments does the SR Scout use?

It comes set up with a 4' hydraulic straight blade with float and down force. If you want to swap between blades, brooms, snow throwers and spreaders, look at the SR MAG, whose attachments are removable.

SR Scout vs. Snowrator vs. SR MAG — which sidewalk machine is right for me?

The SR Scout is the entry point: the narrowest of the three at 34", with a 4' blade for straightforward sidewalk routes. The Snowrator adds a built-in 20-gallon brine tank so one pass plows and pre-treats. The SR MAG is the heavy hitter — a 747cc fuel-injected Kohler, 8 mph top speed and removable attachments from blades to a broom and snow thrower — for contractors and campuses that run long routes all season.
